Artist Statement

Stephen parks his easel wherever life takes him and he creates oil paintings from firsthand experiences.  He juggles myriad pleasures and thoroughly loves being outdoors painting, photographing and watching critters.  Stephen’s hallmark style combines realism with suggestion from an impressionistic painting approach.  He always thought the process of putting paint to board is magical and this thought permeates his painting.

“Life has gifted me with the ability to see the world through an artist’s eyes. Imagine being part of a brotherhood that began with cave painting and continues today, where the brushes and paints have remained the same over the centuries.”

His brushes and paints are ever-waiting for this artist to return.
