Jerry Salinas graduated from the American Academy of Art in Chicago with a degree in Illustration and Fine Arts where he studied with the legendary long-time life drawing instructor Bill Parks. Working as an illustrator since the mid-1990’s for numerous ad agencies, Jerry Salinas has also worked to developed his own drawing and painting skills.

 

Pursuing his innate artistic talents, it was inevitable that Jerry would become a fine artist in his own right.  Jerry now lives in Phoenix, Arizona pursuing his passion for oil paintings, working in his own studio with a big smile on his face. Pushing his work to new levels, he is excited to be painting western subjects in a contemporary realist style.  

 

Jerry is a member of the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied with masterful artists such as Romel de la Torre, Clayton J. Beck III and various visiting painters at the Academy.

Jerry now teaches classes at the prestigious Scottsdale Artists' School and will be conducting a painting workshop at The Florence Studio in Florence, Italy.
