Showcasing some of the leading artists in Arizona as well as the American West.  Each painting, sculpture, and drawing chosen for Holiday Treasures represents a “jewel” or exceptional work of art from the artist’s offerings.  Choose from  charming miniature animal faces to large colorful landscapes, from detailed pueblo pottery paintings to large-scale figurative sculpture, and more by 40+ award-winning artists.

Mountain Trails Gallery celebrates new horizons of 2018 with landscape paintings of sparkling snow in Red Rock Country, warm sunrises, and colorful sunsets by award-winning Western artists.  Also, story-telling bronze sculpture, still life paintings and figurative realism.  New bronze sculpture by Cowboy Artists of American member Dustin Payne.  Showcasing the work of National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame artist Donna Howell-Sickles.

1st Friday Gallery Tour


 

On the 1st Friday of each month, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, members of the Sedona Gallery Association, including Mountain Trails Galleries, offer a unique monthly showcase highlighting artists, special exhibits, and art events.

 

These special art receptions give locals and Sedona visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while beginning their weekends with an exploration of Sedona’s exciting art scene.

FEBRUARY 2018

Celebrating Native Cultures Reception:  First Friday, February 2, 2018, 5-8pm                                 

Painting demo by Terry Cooke Hall:  Friday, February 16, 2018, 11am-3pm

Contemporary figurative Western artist Terry Cooke Hall brings inspiration to Mountain Trails Gallery with new paintings from her ‘Timeless West’ collection. Known for her complex pattern paintings influenced by the colorful pageantry of Montana’s intertribal Crow Fair Days Parade, Terry will give an informal painting demonstration with Q&A in the gallery on Friday, February 16, from 11am to 3pm.  Also inspiring are detailed figurative paintings honoring various native cultures by Lisa Danielle, Vicki Catapano, Krystii Melaine, Marcia Molnar, Steven Lang, Andrew Bolam, and Jim Hagstrom, as well as intricate figurative bronze sculpture by Susan Kliewer, Michael Trcic, Scott Rogers, Vic Payne, Dustin Payne, and Deon Duncan.

 

MARCH 2018 

Reception:  First Friday, March 2, 2018, 5-8pm

Characters from the American West

Featuring sculpture and paintings by award winning artists who are inspired by the history and legends of the American West and who capture notable traits such as a character’s unique essence distinctive to an individual, including Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, Warcloud, Custer, and more. Bronze sculpture by Dustin Payne, CA, paintings by Krystii Melaine are also featured.

 

APRIL 2018 

Reception:  First Friday, April 6, 2018, 5-8pm

A Renaissance of Painting & Sculpture 

Mountain Trails Gallery welcomes the warm air of Spring and the opportunity to celebrate the revival and renaissance of classical painting and sculpture. Artists who are fascinated with vigorous figurative drawing, painting and sculpting the human anatomy, architecture, and nature are refreshed with new learning and wisdom. Featured are cityscapes, landscapes, and figurative paintings by Richard Boyer, Oil Painters of America award-winning artist and signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists.

Painting & Sculpting with Humor

The month of May brings the warmth and fun of “Painting & Sculpting with Humor” at Mountain Trails Gallery. It has been said that humor and laughter is therapeutic and cathartic, relieves stress, and can boost your health. Artists at Mountain Trails Gallery are no strangers to this corresponding quality of creativity in their working life. Featuring artists who surprise, delight, and are often immersed in humor including Jason Napier who captures the essence of animal nature in his festive, colorful, and amusing wildlife sculpture.
