Nature of the West

 

Mountain Trails Gallery presents paintings and sculpture of eagles, owls, song birds, quail, falcons, hawks, ravens, water birds, cardinals, blue birds, hummingbirds, roadrunners, as well as elk, mustangs, bobcats, mountain lions, bears, and more by 40 leading artists from the West.

1st Friday Gallery Tour


 

On the 1st Friday of each month, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, members of the Sedona Gallery Association, including Mountain Trails Galleries, offer a unique monthly showcase highlighting artists, special exhibits, and art events.

 

These special art receptions give locals and Sedona visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while beginning their weekends with an exploration of Sedona’s exciting art scene.

Winter Treasures:  Painting and Sculpture

Inspired by Tradition   

 Mountain Trails Gallery continues its 30 year tradition of exhibiting painting and sculpture that highlight the deep roots of our American Western heritage, with stories of the great explorers, the cowboy way of life, as well as the richness of the Native American culture.  More than 40 artists bring these stories to life with their own unique style and use of color.

 

APRIL 2017 

Reception:  First Friday, April 7, 2017, 5-8pm

Canyons and Vistas of the West  

Featuring landscape paintings of the mountains, forests, canyons and vistas of the American West including the Grand Canyon, the Red Rock Country of Arizona and Utah, Native American scenes, wildlife, cowgirls, cowboys, ranch life, the natural environment, and more. Plein air artists Betty Carr, Bill Cramer, Joshua Been, Susie Hyer, Marcia Molnar, Gregory Stocks, and Howard Carr are also featured.

 

MAY 2017

Reception:  First Friday, May 5, 2017, 5-8pm

The Luster of Bronze

Mountain Trails Gallery is proud to feature the intricate bronze sculpture of Scott Rogers whose work is a journey through moments in the spirited history of the Old West, along with sculptures of Native American ceremonial dancers, Wild West characters, as well as domestic and wildlife treasures by 17 award-winning sculptors.

 

JUNE 2017

Reception:  First Friday, June 2, 2017, 5-8pm

Painting Arizona

Mountain Trails Gallery celebrates the summer with “Painting Arizona” featuring paintings of the Sonoran Desert, Wine Country Vineyards, Alpine Vistas, including favorite Sedona destinations such as Cathedral Rock, Red Rock Crossing, Oak Creek, Slide Rock, Tlaquepaque, Sedona hiking trails, as well as our beloved Grand Canyon.  Also painting and sculpture of Arizona wildlife.

Paprocki, and more.   Also featured are paintings by wildlife artists Adele Earnshaw, Joe Garcia, Amy Lay, Jennifer O’Cualain, Stephen J. Krasemann, and Corrina Johnson as well as sculpture by gallery artists.

Sculpting the West

Mountain Trails Gallery celebrates fine art sculpture by leading artists from the West at its annual Sculpting the West show. Bronze sculpture by Mark Edward Adams, Bryce Pettit, Scott Rogers, Susan Kliewer, Michael Trcic, Vic Payne, Dustin Payne, Jason Napier, Walt Horton, David Lemon, Deon Duncan, Ron Gaines, Raymond Gibby, Jim Gilmore, and Gary Lee Price will be featured as well as new clay models of works in progress by these award-winning artists.
