Michelle Condrat's Grand Canyon Celebration paintings win the People's Choice Award

Mountain Trails Gallery Sedona is proud to celebrate the latest award given to the exceptional and unique painter Michelle Condrat. The People’s Choice Award was given to Michelle at this year's 17th Annual Grand Canyon Celebration of Art, "a tradition that provides a vibrant experience for visitors and a venue for artists inspired by the canyon. Selected artists developed their works live at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon during the week of September 18–21." - Grand Canyon Conservancy

Michelle brings a passion and an extraordinary perspective to the wondrous landscapes of Utah, the Southwest, and especially the Grand Canyon as she spends time outdoors gathering inspiration for her paintings.   She is known for a unique painting style as well as vibrant color choices.  Michelle intuits the intricate geometry in nature shining through as she captures a distinctive look that has been referred to as "digital" or "architectural" as she goes about building linear layers with a symphony of blended paint strokes.  In addition, Michelle's style reveals a sense of movement in the scene, as the eyes tune in to the motion and depth of the plants and trees that seemingly flicker and create a felt sense of being there.  A truly unique artist, Michelle Condrat captures a fresh visual perspective that reveals the essence of uplifting joy that no technology can even approximate.
